The focus is learning to use the regulations, what your responsibilities are and the basic procedure for classification, packaging and communication of non-bulk packages. The course does not cover exceptions in detail, explosives, radioactives, large cylinders, infectious substances or extensive classification questions. You will understand the structure of the regulations and how to use each piece to ensure compliance in identification, packaging and communication requirements. The course examples are for non-bulk packages but discussion of bulk transport can be included by student request.  | SMALL BATTERY TRANSPORT (49CFR, IATA/ICAO & IMDG) This course covers the confusing and ever changing requirements for the shipment of small batteries, especially Lithium metal and Lithium Ion batteries. All batteries have minimum packaging standards but lithium battery regulations have been dramatically revised in the last 2 years and more changes are coming. | INFECTIOUS SUBSTANCES & DRY ICE (IATA/ICAO & 49CFR) This course details the requirements for classifying, packaging, and offering biological substances (blood, tissue, cultures, organs, urine, etc.) for transport. This includes detailed classification information to understand the difference between infectious substances, biological substances, category B and exempt specimens.  | EXCEPTIONS FOR DANGEROUS GOODS TRANSPORT (49CFR, IATA/ICAO & IMDG) This course is a small investment that can save you thousands of dollars very quickly.
