The focus is learning to use the regulations, what your responsibilities are and the basic procedure for classification, packaging and communication of non-bulk packages. The course does not cover exceptions in detail, explosives, radioactives, large cylinders, infectious substances or extensive classification questions. | DANGEROUS GOODS CLASSIFICATION (49 CFR & IATA/ICAO) This course provides more detail than our basic sessions on the classification of dangerous goods. Each of the 9 hazard classes are reviewed in depth with examples of each. Several example items are classified by students as course unfolds. The impact that classifications have on packaging selection and communication requirements is also discussed.
