 | GENERAL AWARENESS TRAINING (DOT 49CFR) This course is designed to get you started quickly and effeciently with the US regulations for the transport of hazardous materials. The focus is learning to use the regulations, what your responsibilities are and the basic procedure for classification, packaging and communication of non-bulk packages. The course does not cover exceptions in detail, explosives, radioactives, large cylinders, infectious substances or extensive classification questions.  | DANGEROUS GOODS CLASSIFICATION (49 CFR & IATA/ICAO) This course provides more detail than our basic sessions on the classification of dangerous goods. Each of the 9 hazard classes are reviewed in depth with examples of each. Several example items are classified by students as course unfolds. The impact that classifications have on packaging selection and communication requirements is also discussed.  | MATERIALS OF TRADE (49CFR) This course explores an exception designed for service technicians, maintanence departments, sales personnel and anyone who carries dangerous goods to do their job. Does your staff pick things up from the local hardware store? Do your technicians install equipment or make repairs? Does your sales force take samples with them? They are regulated shipments!  | SMALL LITHIUM BATTERY TRANSPORT (49CFR, IATA/ICAO & IMDG) This course covers the confusing and ever changing requirements for the shipment of small batteries, especially Lithium metal and Lithium Ion batteries. All batteries have minimum packaging standards but lithium battery regulations have been dramatically revised in the last 2 years and more changes are coming.
